How It Works

From assessment
to hot water, same day.

  1. Step 1:

    Assess & Recommend

We evaluate your current setup, household size, and water usage to recommend the right unit and size — no upselling, just the right fit.

  2. Step 2:

    Fixed Price Quote

You choose the unit. We give you a written, fixed price before any work starts — parts, labor, permits, and haul-away of the old unit included.

  3. Step 3:

    Licensed Install

Proper venting, supply, and drain connections. Permits pulled where required. We install to code — so your warranty and insurance stay intact.

  4. Step 4:

    Test & Walk-Through

We pressure test, verify temperature and T&P relief, and walk you through the new system before we close the job. You leave knowing how it works.

FAQ

Common questions

Everything homeowners ask before scheduling an install.

Tank water heater installation typically runs $900–$1,800 depending on unit size, fuel type, and any required code upgrades. Tankless systems start around $1,800–$3,500 installed. We give you a fixed price before any work starts — no surprises.

A standard tank replacement is usually done in 2–3 hours. Tankless installations take 3–5 hours, longer if gas line upgrades or new venting are needed. We give you a realistic timeline upfront.

Yes — Contra Costa County requires a permit for water heater replacements. We handle the permit process for you. It protects your home, your warranty, and your insurance coverage.

Tank heaters cost less upfront and are simpler to install. Tankless units cost more initially but last twice as long, use less energy, and deliver endless hot water. For households of 3+ people with consistent hot water demand, tankless often pays off within 5–7 years. We'll walk you through the numbers for your specific situation.

For tank heaters: 40 gallons for 1–3 people, 50 gallons for 3–4, 75–80 gallons for larger households. For tankless: sizing depends on flow rate demand (simultaneous showers, dishwasher, etc.), not gallons. We calculate the right size during the assessment.

Yes. Removal and disposal of your old unit is included in our installation price. We don't leave you with a tank on the garage floor.

Often, yes — especially for standard tank replacements where we have the unit in stock or can source it locally. Call us at (925) 288-0409 and we'll tell you what's available today.
